    (ANI)

Former Nepal Prime Minister and Nepali Congress president Girija Prasad Koirala has been moved to his daughter Deputy Prime Minister Sujata Koirala's residence in Mandhikhatar.

Koirala left his Maharajgunj residence for Sujata's house, as it has better facilities, including a cabin that will be handy during medical emergencies, the nepal news reports.

The octogenarian has been unwell for several days, but had expressed a desire to stay with his daughter. Koirala, 87, had been staying at the rented bungalow since July 2008.

Doctors involved in his treatment, have said there is no immediate need to take him abroad for treatment.

They believe he is stable for now.

Koirala is suffering from lung-related complexities caused by Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD). He is being given oxygen round the clock.

Sujata Koirala has been advised to return to Kathmandu immediately to take a final decision on Koirala's future treatment. She is likely to arrive this evening or early tomorrow. (ANI)
