Hand-held computers more of a hindrance than help
    Bangladesh Sun
    Monday 24th March, 2008
    (ANI)

London, March 24 : A new study suggests that hand-held computers are considered to be a hindrance, rather than help, by about two-thirds of the people who use them.

Conducted by American Express Insurance Services, the study also revealed that one in seven persons fear being contactable all the time.

The findings of the study also suggest that older people are not as cautious about the digital revolution as earlier thought, reports the Scotsman.

According to the study, one in three persons in the 25 to 34 years age group consider the digital technology like iPods to be intrusive.

On the other hand, people over 55 years were more likely to claim that the technology helped them do their job better, with 37 per cent concurring.

Comparatively, 22 per cent of people under 25 said that they thought the digital technology to be helpful, says the newspaper report.
